This electric step opens and closes automatically with your door, so you don’t need to bend or lift anything. The motor and control unit work together to extend the 24" wide step when the door opens and pull it back in when the door closes. An override switch keeps the step locked out while you’re parked.
A built-in amber incandescent light turns on whenever the step extends, lighting your way after dark. The tread includes non-slip texture and reflective strips that stand out in low light, helping you see exactly where you’re stepping.
The powder-coated steel frame handles the elements without rusting or flexing. Solid steel drive rods, stainless steel bushings, and air-pressed rivets at the pivot points keep everything tight and smooth through repeated use. Weatherproof wiring is sealed against moisture, so operation stays reliable over time.
Integrated safety logic prevents the step from getting damaged or causing injury. If it strikes something while extending, the motor instantly reverses to stow it. The ignition override also retracts the step whenever the engine starts, so you won’t drive off with it still out.
This assembly includes everything you need—motor, control unit, switch kit, light, and 4-way plug. It connects to your existing wiring harness or can be hardwired using the included pigtail. The mounting plate is 23-3/4" wide x 11-5/8" deep with a 22" x 8" bolt pattern, fitting a space at least 25-1/2" wide. Once bolted up, it’s ready to run on 12V power and support up to 300 lbs.

Step went on very easy... works fantastic. Box was a little beat up so we have a few scratches on the step but overall happy with product.
Was the perfect replacement for my Customers bent and inoperative Steps. Shipping was great and faster than expected.
Replaced aging step that was getting stuck and struggling even after clean and lube. This assembly did the job, though the bolt holes did not line up all that well with the prior model so had to get a little creative. Not bad enough to knock a star though. Solid and does what I need it to.
called customer service to see what wires worked in and out functions fosters and they couldn't figure it out. kinda frustrating when trying to mount to vehicle and couldn't get it to work both directions. called several times and differe t answer everytime
I cant thank you enough for your help in getting me a replacement step for my 25 year old motorhome. It was easy to install and all wiring matched my old wire harness and it bolted right up and works great. Thank You again.
I know in past reviews people have said written installation instructions would be greatly appreciated especially for rv owners looking to replace or install new on their rvs. I installed the step and am happy with the install. It seems to be performing as expected. Please consider putting written installation with the steps.
Here are my points:
1. Information on the right fit before I placed the order was accurate and
appreciated.
2. The steps arrived very quickly.
3. The steps had some nicks in the finish that were not from shipping. I'll
touch them up rather than send the steps back.
4. There were no instructions included from the company in the box. I went
online to get them
5. The additional mounting kit hardware wasn't required as your information
stated. The mounting bolts were welded in place by the coach manufacturer. I
didn't learn this until I removed the old steps.
The steps are installed and working, but the action is not as smooth as I
had hoped. There's no reason to believe that there is an issue - they will
likely smooth out after I use them for a season.

Works perfect. Easy to install anywhere on the road. Quiet smooth operation. Well worth the price.
Excellent product. I replaced the entire original assembly in my 2004 Monaco Signature. Bolted right up and electrical was plug and play except for the micro-switch that operates the dash "step extended" warning light.
My electrical diagram that I received when I bought the coach provided the details that enabled me to understand and purchase the correct switch from etrailer. Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - Rectangle - White
Part Number: LC374198. It is actually a micro-switch that mounts directly onto the step motor and wires separately into the coach wiring. I just mounted it on the same step motor location as the original OEM steps I removed.
They were very helpful telling me what I needed for the motorhome and a product was very good. I would recommend y’all to anyone.

Hey Greg, I am so sorry to hear that. I did take a quick look at the instructions. I think you'll find page 12 and Figure 4 super helpful. It's got a labeled diagram of where everything goes and from there you can see the function of the wires, too. I'll send you a quick email!
